Hello. My name is Alberto Pepe (also: Alberto Pepe Gentile). I live in Los Angeles, California. I was born and raised in the small wine-making town of Manduria, in Southern Italy.
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and a researcher at CENS, the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing.
I am interested in studying complex socio-technical systems: networks of people, artifacts, data and ideas. In particular, I study scientific circles, the making of scientific knowledge, information flows and collaboration. (Click here to see my doctoral coursework).
