ALBERTO PEPE

about me

Hello. My name is Alberto Pepe (also: Alberto Pepe Gentile). I live in Boston, MA. I was born and raised in the small wine-making town of Manduria, in Southern Italy.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Astrophysics and at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science of Harvard University. I recently completed a Ph.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles with a dissertation titled Structure and Evolution of Scientific Collaboration Networks in a Modern Research Collaboratory

I am interested in studying complex socio-technical systems: networks of people, artifacts, data and ideas. In particular, I study scientific circles, the making of scientific knowledge, information flows and collaboration.

This is my personal site. Elsewhere on the web, you can find me on twitter (@albertopepe) and reach me via email at apepe@cfa.harvard.edu.
