I just got back from Brazil! I carried my camera for 2 weeks across the states of Rio de Janeiro, Espiritu Santo, and Bahia: Buzios, Vitoria, Porto Seguro, Arraial d’Ajuda, Salvador da Bahia, Morro de Sao Paulo and Rio. It was great. The camera was with me all the time - on bumpy trips on planes, trains, buses, cars, catamarans, speedboats and funiculars. But I didn’t feel like taking any photos - and didn’t - except for this one I took right before leaving, at sunset at the Rio airport. Too bad - I was hoping to come back with a bunch of them. It’s not that I felt unsafe, inappropriate or too obtrusive to take out the camera. It just didn’t click. I guess Brazil is too good to be on photo.
